On this week's episode of #CurryUpStartup, I interview Hiro Nishimura, founder of 'awsnewbies' who is making cloud computing and tech as a whole accessible for those without technical backgrounds like herself.
Existing in the intersection of multiple minority groups, including being a disabled female Asian woman in tech who transitioned into tech after graduating with degrees in special education, Hiro has been working to find creative ways to help under-represented segments of the population access tech as a career. Hiro has spent the past 10 years going from a college student pursuing a master's degree in special education to engineer to sysadmin to technical instructor while navigating the world as a disabled woman in tech.
